This peer-reviewed study found that Unimate increased GLP-1 gene expression and raised circulating active GLP-1 by approximately 45% compared with control. Researchers also identified a gut-mediated pathway in which microbes convert ferulic acid into dihydroferulic acid, a compound that strongly stimulated GLP-1 production in intestinal cells. The findings help explain how Unimate supports the body’s natural GLP-1 response.
